Strength is often considered to be muscular, or a force of personal will. However, when muscular strength and willpower predominate, strain, tension, and eventually depletion, are inevitable. Intelligent movement practices must be sustainable! In this workshop/series you will learn how to align and use your body through awareness of your skeleton, organs, and central nervous system, rather than muscles.
With the awareness and tools you gain through this workshop/series, you will quickly notice improvements in your energy, strength, and stamina–in the yoga studio and beyond. Through exploration of anatomical systems you will discover how yoga postures (regardless of their difficulty) can be modified, adapted, and sustained with steadiness and ease.
